PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
Mazarine Ratchayothin is located close to Ratchayothin intersection surrounded by amenities. The area is currently under development for the upcoming MRT Green Line station and other lifestyle shopping malls. The design of this building is based on the mind set of “For Your Extraordinary Reasons”. (Extraordinary Location, Design, and Extraordinary Facility). These factors form this luxurious building ceiling, fully furnished rooms with an extraordinary triple floor sky Facilities.
Muli-faceted factors have been comprised in the structural design of this 37-story high-rise building. First, as this is a large high-rise building, wind load and earthquake prevention structure must be included in the calculation and implementation. Second, to accommodate 70% carparking space for the residents, auto parking system were used rather than conventional parking. Consequently, special consideration towards the column erosions from constructing large void is needed to include bracing to the structure. Third, the 8 Story auto parking system is an automated car elevator with tray system by THS where the structure can be used to substitute transfer beams. Finally, the complexity in the design and implementation of triple floor sky facilities – the most prominent element of this building. The structure must be specialized as the span is extraordinary long, the column is extremely slim, and the cantilever slab is 5m extended from the lift core to create an anti-gravity and free column feature for the fitness. Additionally, double slab flooring was implemented for the swimming pool to prevent
leakage inwards the building.
After around 2 years of construction, the building was finished and operational. Coordination between various designers especially the parking system must be very precise to prevent error or workflow collisions since auto parking system requires precision in width, Length, and height. Our team has pushed the structure in the ways the architect intended, allowing new concept to appear, so that surprising design emerges.
