PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS<\/h2>\n

IMPACT Challenger is Asia’s largest indoor exhibition Centre that comprises of three interconnected 20,000 sqm halls, a grand ballroom and 16 meeting rooms. Additionally, Muang Thong Thani, situated on the outskirts of Bangkok which fits the rapidly growing MICE market in Asia. IMPACT is not only famous for its complete exhibition services but is known for the largest satellite city that has ever been built in Bangkok outskirts.<\/p>\n

On the Structural design aspect, it is technical challenging for engineering team to design and construct simultaneously as well as calculating an enormous 132m single column-free exhibition hall for this satellite city. Creatively, the team uses space Truss with Im x 4m columns to offset the weight of the roof structure. The steel truss has been prefabricated and delivered from China for cost and quality control, at which the members took approximately 6 months to assemble in Thailand. The foundation of the building is made up of 32m pile driver to be cost effective where trenches and the process of pre-bore was done to reduce soil sliding. The floor has been specifically designed to take 2 – 4-ton pressure per square meters where the post tension floor has been used with electrical coring strategically placed in each section. With this design, the hall was able to accommodate various type of functions including large truck unloading inside the exhibition hall or additional electrical power supplied through the coring.<\/p>\n

13 months after the first pile was installed, the largest free column exhibition space in Thailand was partially in operation and shortly after became an international venue to support any type of exhibition.
